Blog Topics for 2025
Instead of making New Year’s resolutions in 2025 (which I don’t do, so I don’t know if I will succeed), I will write a list of 10 blog topics for 2025 and my thoughts about them.
Based on the popular blog topics and trends for 2024, these topics align with financial independence and physician-focused content.

The Future of Healthcare: AI and Remote Medicine
Current thinking is that AI will augment physicians, but ID doctors are becoming obsolete sooner. AI will reshape medicine beyond just the visual pattern recognition fields (Radiology, Pathology, and Dermatology) and replace those who aren’t proceduralists.
Patient care will infinitely improve when patients can access all their data on their smartphones.
Investing Strategies for Physicians in a Post-Covid World
Unique investment opportunities follow the loss of respect for the NIH, CDC, and institutions in general. Healthcare is broken, and if we want to control inflation, we must control healthcare costs.
Above, you can see the price changes are up and to the right for hospital services, college textbooks, and college tuition. Interestingly, the price of textbooks is going down, and tuition has been down since Covid. These are up about 200% since 1998.
Up 120%, childcare, and medical care services. Wages are up 80%. Housing and Food and Beverages are up the same as inflation since 1998, about 56%. Housing and hospitality have seen the largest spikes in our current inflationary explosion. Expect that to increase.
I won’t even talk about the deflationary pressures of globalization and technology. TVs are almost infinitely cheaper and better, as are Toys, Computers, and Cellphones. Cars, Clothing, and furniture have cost the same over the last 25 years.
Balancing Work and Life: Time Management Tips for Busy Doctors
My suggestion is clear. Go CoastFI once your nest egg is big enough. Instead of providing practical advice on how physicians can maintain a healthy work-life balance while pursuing financial independence, I say work less and spend more time on what you value.
The Impact of New Healthcare Policies on Physician Finances
We are the sickest and most obese country in the world. There will be new healthcare policies floating up in the next few months. What a rich topic of discussion.
Sustainable Living for High-Income Professionals
Explore eco-friendly practices and investments aligning with financial goals and environmental consciousness. (This one is AI-generated, and I threw up in my mouth a little bit reading it, so I decided to leave it in)
Navigating Student Loan Repayment: Strategies for New Physicians
Student loan repayment has changed so much since Covid, and I think it is time to dive back in and re-understand it.
Retirement Planning for Physicians: Early Retirement vs. Gradual Transition
We know a massive physician shortage is expected as baby boomer physicians retire, and it will take 2 to 3 physicians to replace them. Instead of quitting, what if you could transition to a less intensive yet still lucrative career as a physician? A recent ENT client earned 325k working two days a week.
The mojo of FIRE has changed. We never were about early retirement; we were about doing what we valued and bringing value to the world. What if we help physicians who want to FIRE stay in the medical profession on a part-time basis and provide massive value? We have so much to offer. Yet, it is not worth being a cog in the wheel, the current toxic morass of a failing healthcare system, the toxicity and narcissism. What if we can make it better?
A gradual transition is better than drinks with little plastic umbrellas on the beach. But there is nothing wrong with jumping ship and doing what you love, either.
The Psychology of Spending: Overcoming Financial Pitfalls in Physician Retirement
Honestly, the largest pitfall I see in physician retirement is folks who can’t spend enough. Finance is 90% mental and 10% doing nothing. Or maybe 99% doing nothing, and the rest sticking to your financial plan.
Most of my clients are oversavers. Once you develop that mindset, you continue to underspend in retirement. I’m like a financial therapist telling them to buy the third house, take the trip with the kids, and, as always, remember, if you don’t fly first class, your kids will.
Side Hustles for Doctors: Diversifying Income Streams
AI. Vomit.
Tech Tools for Financial Independence: Apps and Platforms for Physicians
This content combines current finance, technology, and healthcare trends with the specific interests of physicians who desire financial independence. It is valuable and relevant. I recently told you about Perplexity and Polymarket.
